- How long does a typical TillerLabs build take?
- Most projects run one to two weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on how much content you have ready, how many pages are needed, and whether we’re migrating an existing site. We’ll give you a firm timeline at quoting stage — not an estimate that slips.
- What’s the difference between the project build and the subscription?
- The project build is a one-off fee from £2,400 plus £50/month for hosting. The subscription is from £190/month with zero upfront cost and includes the build, hosting, unlimited small changes, and ongoing support. Same technical quality either way — the difference is cashflow and commitment length, not what you get.
- Do I own my site if I stop paying the subscription?
- On the project build, yes — you own the build outright from day one. On the subscription, the site stays with us while you’re paying monthly. If you cancel and want to take the codebase with you, we’ll honour a one-off buyout at a fair market rate.
- Can you rebuild my current website without losing Google rankings?
- Yes. We handle migrations carefully: we map every existing URL, set up 301 redirects where URLs change, preserve page content structure, and monitor Search Console for indexation issues post-launch. Most properly-handled rebuilds see rankings hold steady or improve within a few weeks.
- What tech stack do you use?
- Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Supabase for databases and auth, and Vercel for hosting. It’s modern, fast, widely-supported, and the same stack used by companies like Netflix, Notion, and Hulu. We don’t build on WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
- What if I already have copy, photos, and branding ready?
- The build moves faster. We’ll quote accordingly. If you don’t have everything ready, we’ll help — but we’re web designers, not copywriters, so we’ll either recommend a content partner or work with what you’ve got in a kickoff session.
- Do you work with businesses outside Surrey?
- Yes. We’re based in Surrey but work with clients across the UK and occasionally abroad. Most of our process runs remotely — video calls, shared docs, async reviews. Being nearby is a bonus, not a requirement.
- What’s included in ongoing support after launch?
- Both plans include a self-service admin portal for unlimited changes to copy, images, and content pages. The monthly plan adds 1 hour of hands-on support per month for anything you can’t do yourself, plus hosting, security updates, and performance monitoring with a 48-hour response time. Larger feature additions — new page templates, integrations, e-commerce — are quoted separately.
